OK....so Jacobs mandatory do or die date is next. Let's just assume for a minute that Haymon and K2 can come together on a fair enough split, and HBO throws in a little extra cash soas it's worth Jacobs likely second defeat. Something in the ballpark of $3.5 mil to GGG and $1.5 mil to Jacobs. How does Jacobs make this one interesting. We've already seen in the Lemiuex and Stevens fights that GGG aint gonna fight them like he did Brook or Monroe. He's not going to eat shots coming in, but instead, fire that stiff thudding jab, follow it with a hook, up or down, or both, and we all know that Jacobs chin isn't fit to take a flush shot from Mora. I think Jacobs will attempt to land something monstrous early, in hopes that GGG gives him a war of attrition, but eats a R hand coming in, gets dropped and changes his mind and tries to fight off the back foot or worse, from the SP stance as he did Mora. Rds 2-5 will be nothing but backpedaling and hugging while GGGs punch #s go thru the roof and he breaks his own record for jabs. Rd 6....a jab, hook combo, and Jacobs is counted out.
Jacobs can box pretty well and hits ALOT harder than Brook. I think GGG is inevitably going to land a couple flush shots on Jacobs chin in the first few rounds. What it comes down to is can Jacobs take them and will he be able to keep GGG off of him? My money is going on GGG but I want Jacobs to win. 60/40 fight for GGG.
Full power GGG jab? Is this mortal kombat? Jacobs chin isn't the best and I acknowledged it. That's all you're going to get out of me.
GG will outbox Jacobs before catching him with something huge, Jacobs isn't a bad fighter, he's just not on GG's level
GGG ends it wheneve he feels like it Gennady will eat some of Danny's punches too for the " Big Drama Show" Good scrap while it lasts I like Jacobs , he seems like a strong 160 fighter but his chin is probably his achilles heal

U give Jacobs a 40% chance at beating GGG. Thats like giving Michael Grant a 40% chance at beating Lewis. Giving Spinks a 40% chance of beating Tyson. Jacobs has great power, and decent fundamentals, but he's been shown to have a much more deficient chin than just, not the best. GGG has the best jab in boxing. As for full power. Im talking the one he throws like a straight left, not the one he usually throws where he pulls it to start his jab/hook combo. Can Jacobs chin take a flush power jab from GGG? Im not sure he can. I will say that for a bigger MW, Jacobs is superbly conditioned downstairs and has a better chance than most of surviving the brutal body attack that GGG is also know well for.
Sadly, this is definitely the best "career" move for Jacobs. He's only 28/29 years old. He's definitely the #2-#3 MW atm, and in less than 2 yrs, he very well may improve, and GGG will be gone, while guys like Lara, Charlos, Trout, Martirosyan, etc, will be campaigning for MW titles with the boogeyman too far ahead to look back.
I like Jacobs, but there's a chin deficiency on a base level that makes this fight practically unwinnable for him outside of a freak injury to GGG.
Jacobs isn't moving up two divisions to fight GGG and GGG doesn't have nearly as good a resume as Lewis did. GGG doesn't have the greatest jab in boxing. Not even close. It's the best at middleweight but definitely not in boxing. Why do you keep calling it a power jab? Nobody in boxing calls it a power jab. It's a jab. Now if you call it a hard jab then that is ok. A power jab sounds like something from a video game. I don't know whether or not Jacobs can take GGG's jab. They haven't fought yet. You are making it out like I am favoring Jacobs here. I directly said that GGG is the favorite and that is the guy I would put my money on. Just because I want Jacobs to win doesn't mean I think he will.
Yet all of the greatest fighters in history have been Americans. Sounds like you need to recheck your definition of bum.
