There was mention of this during the week that the winner of both fights may fight.
The fact that Showtime picked up the Lee-Saunders fight adds t the rumour.

I think Lee beats Saunders, and the Lee-Jacobs fight is a tough one to call. Lee is easy to hit, and Jacobs has legit power...but then the same can be said vice-versa!

Would be a good fight to see.

Also, the winner could then be set up for a mega fight/PPV with GGG, where network issues could be resolved.

if lee gets caught early like in the quillin fight he's done
jacobs is not gun shy and has faster hands and timing to throw more effective combinations

I would pick Jacobs to beat them both, but they would be good fights.

Not gonna happen unless Jacobs or the winner of Lee v Saunders drops their title.

Similar to when Jamie McDonnell fought Tomoki Kameda, the WBO will only allow unification's with the Super Champ (so that's why Kameda dropped the belt).

However the winner of next weekends fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Spike O'Suillivan will become mando to Jacobs.

Andy Lee gets paid either way. Amazingly he's possibly a bigger draw than either.
The Irish will pack out anywhere in the north east to watch him.

Jacobs is arguably the easier fight and Lee is linked to DiBella.

There's a reason Showtime picked this fight up.

Wouldn't be a bad match up either.
He did mention Eubank in the press conference too

Lee-Jacobs would be really interesting. Sure Jacobs is better skilled, but Lee's power could end it at any moment. I do feel like Jacobs should face the Lee-Saunders winner while Alvarez and Golovkin go at it, and then the winners unify everything at the end of 2016.

Jacobs would beat Saunders. Jacobs vs Lee I think is 60-40 to 70-30 fight.

Eubank Jr may beat Jacobs depending on quality of Jr's chin.

I've come to the conclusion Billy Joe Saunders is one of the most consistently underrated fighters on this site.

Obviously facing Golovkin or Alvarez would be the most ideal for Jacobs.

However, the winner of Andy Lee and Saunders certainly seems like the next best option.

If Lee wins, I'd say a Lee-Jacobs fight in NYC is very likely. Depends on if GGG gets Canelo, and if not, who bids more - K2 or Haymon/DiBella. Lee will fight either, I'm sure he will end up fighting whoever gives the most incentive.

If Saunders wins, its certainly possible.. but hard to say its likely since Saunders brought Macklin in as manager/adviser which doesn't preclude a NYC fight by any stretch... but seems to hint at a more Euro-focused inclination.

Lee/Jacobs would be a great fight and I could see both men being on the canvas, possibly a few times each. I'd have Lee winning rd 7/8
