Who wins this fight on saturday? this seems like the most intresting match up on the card all though the rest are good fights this one seems like reel head scratcher. IS jacobs reaady for this yet? is Pirog? haven't seen much of Pirog but i here he's solid at worst. how do you see this fight playing out between 2 undefeated contenders? where do they fit in the title picture?
I do not remember watching any Jacobs fight and I have seen only one Pirog fight so it is really hard to express an opinion on this one. It should be a good fight. Actually this is the fight for the weekend since I do not expect much from the Marquez v Diaz rematch.
The middleweight division is about to get hotter than hell in the very near future. I think this fight represents the unofficial turning point. I'm very tentatively picking Jacobs by decision. However, I'm at an unfair disadvantage. I've only seen Pirog on You Tube.
I saw a few fights of jacobs and some of piroq, i saw how jacobs struggled with ishe smith. Piraq has a great style and his defence is better than jacobs. I want to put some money on piroq but im going to wait because a lot fo Americans are going to put their money on jacobs, only thing jacobs has better then piroq is speed. I hope it will not be a robbery but i would say its 45-55 %piroq.
I have to side with Pirog. He is the sweet science in its pure beauty. Not many Americans take their time to watch footage of this amazing fighter and therefore many simply go for Jacobs, because most have seen him on HBO. But be careful with your judgement, because the chess player from the Black Sea is going to raise eyebrows. I have a feeling that this is a defining fight for both of them, but after winning neither will be signed off. They are both great for the future of the middleweight division.
Pirog's lack of foot movement might hurt him here if Jacobs uses that height if it goes into a close range i'd expect Pirog to slip and counter all night on Jacobs. Close fight with a good blend of styles. Jacobs should be smart enough to get keep out of Pirogs range. Late KO or UD to Jacobs i'll say.
I actually think that Pirog has quite good footwork, certianly in regards to creating openings for himself to land shots and making his oppenent have to re-set.
I mean from what i have seen he can't close the ring off for ****. On the inside Pirog does everything well i just think against someone with range he will find it difficult getting in his own range and planting his feet like i normally see him do.
Yeah thats the big question. I haven't seen him in there with a guy Jacobs size and Danny seems to have the ability to keep a guy on the outside. Where the fight is fought will be interesting to see. Not sure about how good Pirog is at working his way inside and cutting off the ring. I imagine he'll use alot of that upperbody movement to try and work his way inside, he does have a remarkable ability to avoid uppercuts when he's bent forward.
This is the fight i can't wait for. 2nd is Linares vs Jaurez then Casa vs RGG. i feel JMM vs Babybull **** is going to be a onesided beat down as Diaz confidence is shot and as soon as he gets Cut it's over. plus he's lost 3 fights str8 (he knows Malinaggi beat his as both times. and Pillow top had him rocked. his chin has diminished as well as his over all punch resilliancy
