Pirog has done **** outside of this fight. Hate that people think he's some great middleweight because of one win over a prospect. Oh and BTW Jacobs was winning 3-1 no matter how bad everyone wants to think Pirog was dominating. Pirog did nothing in rounds 1,3 and 4. Pirog is seriously overrated.
nobody said he was the greatest.:? And what has Jacobs Done since. a little sensitive i see. you didn't bet your house on Jacobs did you?:verysad
Dead serious, I was wondering why he was so quiet, prays for him, I wonder how the cancer affected him in his loss vs Pirog:-(
yeah he had osteosarcoma cancer which is nuts. He is trying to recover and start sparring again in hopes of a comeback. I really feel bad for the guy. So young. It was around his spine. Much props and luck to him. http://www.badlefthook.com/2011/12/18/2645491/daniel-jacobs-cancer-boxing-news-sparring-next-fight
he could have had it when he fought pirog. i mean all in all noone really knows. not to take anything away from pirog but you never know. Either way I just hope he finds happiness and comes back strong. Only 23 years of age. so sad.
Watched this fight again today and I thought Pirog was up 3-1 not the other way around. Lederman had it 2-2 but you can see why people rave over the Russian, very good head movement, countering, pressure and defense.
Same card as me, if i remember correctly. It was that kind of fight where I listen to the announcers and wonder if they are looking at the same fight I do.
Correction: It was his "Coming out and then promptly going back in" fight. This guy has to be the most criminally mismanaged fighter right now after having that sensational victory broadcast on U.S. soil and not a single noteworthy event since then. atsch
Funny thing about this is that in his very next fight he looked slow as balls... like almost a completely different fighter. It's strange.
