Just rewatched the fight and I didn't see any blatant elbows or headbutts, there was probably an elbow or two that caught Chavez that was bothersome, but it did look like to me that the shot that busted Jrs. nose was an uppercut in the 5th round. Jacobs threw 2 or three good uppercuts that round that I believe busted up Jrs. nose.

I hate to say it about Freddie Roach, but this is where his Parkinson's probably interferes with his job duties as as the chief trainer in the corner.
Jrs. nose had just been freshly busted up open and broken, there needs to be someone in that corner to talk Jr. out of quitting, and you do that by simply in a calm way let him know, "Let us take care of the nose and lets give it a round or two more to see if you can fight with it in that condition, lets get back at that ****er!!!

Fighers, especially those that are not mentally as strong need re-assurances, Jr. had nobody in that corner for that.

 

If jr was crying about it to him after the fight , I don’t see why Jacobs would not apologies in giid sportsmanship. He won and if his opponent think there was some unfair play just say sorry.

How about you open your eyes to the actual fight. There was no elbow or butt. I ask for a video of that. Not guys being good sports after the fight.
