Can't argue against that. Pirog was pushing Jacobs at a pace Jacobs could not maintain. It's not all that uncommon to see a guy winning the boxing match who is simultaneously losing the fight.
Think about all the fighters that got robbed in Europe....then.........*****-SLAP YOURSELF:rofl:rofl:rofl You sorry paranoid mofo.. And **** outta' here with that "justice prevaled" bull****.:deal You wouldn't know justice if you caught it ****ing your girlfriend in the ass...if you got one.
I had Jacobs 3-1 ahead going into the 5th. He was winning rounds but you could see he was losing the fight. Priog could walk right though him and was catching him with some decent shots. But Jacobs was ahead on the cards, he was hit often and with good shots, some good combos too (fast hands).
It was 3-1 for pirog. First rd 10-9 ( Jacobs face already swelling from two big rights ) Second rd 10-9 ( big rd, could of been called kd, ropes the only thing holding that mofo up ) Third rd 9-10 ( nice boxing from Jacob off the back foot ) Fourt rd 10-9 ( close rd but pirog is pushing every attack and hitting much harder than Jacob ) Everything was set by gbp. Judges / ref / home town advantage For him to have an easy UD win with a few jabs and ineffective combos. But pirog busted that golden egg! And ****ed up the script!
First round was close. could have gone either way but I gave it to Jacobs. Second round Pirog was in control and hurt Jacobs. Pirog round. Third and Fourth were close, Jacobs boxed well off the backfoot and both rounds could have gone either way but I gave both to Jacobs. Nothing wrong with 3-1 Jacobs imo. Also I think he looks much better when southpaw than orthodox
I can't really knock 3-1 either way; I had it even at 2 going into the 5th. Even though Pirog was the more skilled fighter, he didn't seem particularly concerned with stealing rounds as fighting his fight so Jacob's activity got him a couple rounds on my card.
Just rewatched the fight, and I stand by my 2-2 score. Pirog won the first round pretty clearly, consistently landing the same right hand over the top that eventually knocked out Jacobs. Danny didn't really land anything in the 1st. Pirog the 2nd, and I thought Byrd made the right call by not calling it a knockdown (though it was close). Jacobs got the 3rd. His best round of the fight, with a nice shot at the bell to end it. The 4th was closer, but Jacobs outlanded him by enough of a margin that he gets that round.
another thing is that the stoppage was premature. I don't know what's gotten into refs these days. Have they forgotten how to count to 10? If the guy is down, count to mother****ing 10. although in this case its not as bad cause he wanted to get the doctors in. Still, he only counted to 5 and Jacobs was gonna get up..
