    Just like what the commentator in Showtime said about Ray Mancini's quote,, WORLD titles are handed out left and right..Makes you question about how many "worlds" are out there...:-(

    Or maybe its just because the WBA is one joke of a sanctioning body...

    WBA champion, but Golovkin is the super WBA champion, there is another WBA belt as well. When asked about fighting Golovkin, Jacobs said he wanted to fight Quillin, did not even mention Golovkin. Golovkin would easily knock him out................................

    I agree with you on this one. For instance, the WBC has the stupid Diamond belt. However, I do feel that the WBA is the biggest joke of them all, with their WBA interim belt, WBA Emeritus belt, WBA super champion belt, WBA regular champion belt, WBA extraordinaire belt, etc....

    Posters claim that GGG has fought nobodys. Unfortunately, they don't give much thought into the fact that none of the big names out there wants to fight the guy...:verysad

    I try exceptionally hard not to get involved in discourse about the sanctioning bodies because it's a futile effort. I realize boxing as a sport has more imperfections than you can shake a stick at so I try to safe any vitriol for stuff that is actually worth talking about.

    Maybe Jacobs thinks he won the WBO belt. That's probably why he called out Quillin.

    Chudinov is interim champ - in theory that makes him Jacobs' mando, though I doubt the WBA will be enforcing it any time soon.

    I actually like the sound of that fight with the winner potentially facing GGG some time in 2015.

    OTOH, Jacobs vs Quillin would obviously be a far bigger fight right now in NYC - but Kid C has the Korobov mando hanging over him so we'll have to wait'n'see how that plays out.

    WBA doesnt enforce anything
    they damn sure didnt force Chris John to fight anyone
    nor did they make Sturm fight GGG in over 2 years
