He started off orthodox but really couldn't find an opening so he switched to southpaw where he's had more success.

Delgadillo seems fresher in the last frame, stuffing the right jab in Bornea's face and hooking off it. Steady pressure but not much effective punching from Bornea, just sort of crowding.

That was a solid 1-2 from Bornea with about 45 seconds left. He put a lot of steam on the left cross and only just missed catching him flush instead of grazing; if that lands square, I think Delgadillo goes down.

Commentator has it 97-93 Bornea, disregarding the knockdown?

Replay of the knockdown from R6 now... hmm, yeah, sort of a cuffing hook/push.

    Tough call.

Good scores. 96-93 may be a tad bit wide but I could definitely see a 95-94 win for Delgadillo.

Bornea still very unimpressive to me, that's why I don't really talk about him. He lacks the defensive IQ and the offensive consistency of other highly touted Pinoy prospects like CJM, Dave Apolinario, and Jayson Mama.

I thought Delgadillo had the fight. I guess boxing needed a new Filipino prodigy in the states.
