I would like him to be in a slightly more difficult fight. Maybe even for a world title.

    I would like that too

Is anyone available for that as a realistic possibility except Mikaelian?

CBS will be fighting Riakporhe next I assume while Goulamirian is tied up in legal disputes & a supposed fight with Dorticos while Briedis was rumored to be fighting Zurdo for the now vacant IBF belt sometime in 2024 (who knows when that will be)

He should clear out the division, Breidis
a bit past prime, was his only challenge from what ive seen and he passed that. Billam-Smith, Riakphore, Okolie would be flogged by Opetaia. The armenian is no challenge.

The CW division right now is not the most strongest, especially compared to a few years back.

Apparently Gevor is defending against Rozicki in April

Damn that sucks, I was hoping the Saudi's could line him up as Jai's next fight in either Feb or March card

I don't think Briedis will rematch him for a non title fight in either Feb or March if he is even ready by then

Okoliepuss is dreadful to watch, don't want to see him

I hope they line up a top 10 CW for Jai even if it won't be for a title, Zorro was too much of a mismatch. It is good that Opetaia is ready & willing to go again asap considering how inactive top guys are these days

Unfortunately for Jai CW is pretty crap right now. Assuming he's still the same as when he fought Jai, and that's a huge if because he turns 39 in a couple of weeks, Briedis is still the 2nd best at the weight and he'd already lost a step back then.

I'd have Goulamirian ranked #3 but he's 36 now and has wasted much of his prime.

CBS is tough and game with a good dig on him but Jai is a horrible match up for him and would beat him up bad and stop him and I think Goulamirian and Gevor would beat him too

Riakporhe and Okolie are HWs with SHW dimensions fighting at CW and Jai knocks both of them out too

It shouldn't be too difficult for Jai to become undisputed against this current crop, assuming he can get them to step foot into a ring with him that is

His Excellency wants to stage Jai vs Bivol but the later is a small LHW and the gap from LHW to CW is obviously huge. That would be a real dumb move on Bivol's part especially given the fact Jai is currently beltless. If Jai was undisputed or at least held a world title it would make a lot more sense from a legacy point of view

Ya why not, surely better than Zorro

I think the Saudi's have taken an interest in Jai & see a potential star in the making. He mentioned that Prince Turki had lunch with him & I heard they started taking an interest after the demolition job he did on Thompson.

I am happy for him getting these paydays & I think with Saudi money he will eventually get the CW unification fights he wants because I doubt Hearn by himself will be able to make the fight against the winner of CBS-Riakporhe considering the politics between Matchroom & Boxxer

He could fight every week, going by these last 2 no hopers!
No hopers before the fight, status unchanged after the event!

If Cruiserweight is bad right now that’s a nice goal for Opetaia: Undisputed by December 2024. Bring on the knockouts!!
