    The #1 Cruiserweight in the World defends his IBF World Title against unbeaten Mancunian Jordan Thompson in London. Ellie Scotney will also defend her IBF Super-Bantamweight World Title on the card.

    I have heard that Gavin Gwyne will fight 47 year-old Emiliano Marsilli for the European Lightweight Title and that Rhiannon Dixon will fight former world-title challenger Katharina Thanderz for the European Lightweight Title.

    I like this card - 2 world title fights and 2 european title fights, although Thompson might be out of his depth against Opetaia. I think Cheavon Clarke would beat Jordan Thompson.

    This clashes with Boxxer’s “Breakthrough” card headlined by Caroline Dubois and also featuring Viddal Riley against Nathan Quarless for the English Cruiserweight Title and a super-middleweight contest between Callum Simpson and Germaine Brown. Will definitely be watching the Matchroom show on DAZN to be honest.

    The winner of Opetaia vs Thompson will have to fight Maris Briedis next.

    i am not a fan of the thompson its too soon imo. scotney great charactor but dull to watch. gwynne fight might be decent but i see the two male fights on boxxer being better. imo quite often a world title fight is world title in name only.

    Have to say the Boxxer card looks more appealing bar the DAZN main event

    Another crap women’s world title fight killing the atmosphere and viewers enthusiasm before the main event. Why are they persisting with putting women as co-main events ffs.

    Even worse they’re headlining with one over on Sky.

    At least with Dubois for a women, she a bit more omph than most female fighters but its still female.

    Shalom now has his confirmation that Opetaia was indeed signed to matchroom lol.

    How arrogant does one need to be to claim matchroom conduct there business solely to mess with Boxxer.

    I like Cheavon Clarke vs Vasil Ducar. Ducar knocked Thompson down in the final round when they fought and won rounds against Billam-Smith. Can't complain with a male world title fight.

    Undercard is poor apart from that.

    I also like Clarke v Ducar. They will struggle very badly to move tickets with this event. Eddie should have followed Frank and now Bens lead and take this to the small halls

    World Title fight to be fair, even though both are not well known in the UK. Seems like they scrambled to put up this card on short notice since the original plan was for Opetaia to fight in Australia and for Cordina to face Barrett in Wales on this date. Still a very poor card though apart from the Clarke fight.

    I've heard good things about the Cameron vs Taylor II undercard. The Wood vs Warrington undercard is decent too.

    To be honest, I think Opetaia vs Thompson is a mismatch. I'd like to see Thompson face Cheavon Clarke if he loses to Opetaia. I have always said that Clarke has the better of Thompson.

    Still a lot of fighters for Matchroom to get out like John Ryder, Billy Joe Saunders, Nina Hughes, Craig Richards, Ebanie Bridges, Israil Madrimov, JJ Metcalf, Stevie Spark, Liam Paro, Justis Huni and more to get out this year...

    The Wood vs Warrington card is terrible, however it's such a cracking main event who really cares. These are the type of fights that get people really up for the sport and need to get made more often.

    Really looking forward to this one, the fact it could be the losers final fight aswell only adds to the occasion
