    Great fight and Okolie is an oxymoron. Okolie's style is ugly as hell and should be illegal. There's zero honour in the way he fights and the fact that he's a big HW with freakish SHW dimensions fighting at CW and openly admits that he will continue to stink out the joint everytime he feels he's facing an opponent who poses a risk makes it even more unedifying.

    Briedis deserves a rematch with Opetaia but he's past his best and he took a lot of punishment today and that fight will have taken even more out of him and win or lose another punishing encounter with Opetaia will take even more so it might not be in his best interests. But an Opetaia vs Okolie match up doesn't interest me at all. Okolie vs anyone holds no interest for me due to his criminal cheating ugly style.

    I haven't seen the fight but reading the rbr, both seem to have received punishment. It would only serve Okolie if they damaged each other again in a rematch before fighting the octopus.

    Going to Britain to fight a de-facto SHW A-side who initiates more clinches than he throws punches would be insane for either man. Briedis should probably retire.

    Opetaia should refuse to travel to fight Okolie and look to gain experience in the meantime. Put off fighting Okolie for as long as possible as Okolie will find it increasingly difficult to cut tons of weight to make cruiser. He also may move up if the unification isn't forthcoming.

    Mairis Briedis spent last couple of years simping for Jake Paul (who's not even a fighter) even made a tatoo JAKE'S BAD KARMA meaning himself. The bad thing is that being a simp is anyone's bad karma.

    Briedis should have left Jake alone (this match-up is disgusting -- a pro athlete like Briedis would have severely hurt a regular guy like Paul) and stick to fighting quality opposition at CW, unify the division or move up the way Usyk did to face real boxers in case he only wants money at this point in his career

    You know that fighter is no longer in the sport when he fights that seldom. Covid pandemic took a toll, but ever since the Usyk defeat Briedis' career has not been the same. I hope he fights a few more times before retiring or does it right away if he does not like the sport (it seems to be so). Losing to someone like Opetaia is a very sad career end

    Okolie would lose to lots of CWs if you took away his hideously ugly illegal cheating style. Opetaia should never agree to fight him over here in a million years, make him come to you and he'll get DQ'd by a fair ref or knocked out.

    Yeah if I were any CW, I'd stay away from Okolie unless the money was substantial. He gets away with murder as we all know. Let him go up to HW.
