    My gut feeling has been this could be a tough fight for Jai but I don't know enough about Nyika and in particular how tough he is. I know he's talented, skilful, highly regarded, big and rangy for the weight, and very self-confident but I have no idea if he's tough enough to withstand that power

    Jai has that merciless streak, it's so weird fighters like that. I think it just comes from not wasting much, but it's a different kind of breed.

    Good strategy by Nyika. Being on the inside and trying to push Opetaia backwards. Jai with the cleaner work and seemed to rock Nyika by the end of the round. Rough start, but quite dynamic for the first round.

    Both come out aggressive meeting in ring center. Opetaia with some heavy right hooks on the body. Nyika throwing straighter punches, left crosses behind the jab, headhunting. They're slamming together into wrestling clinches whenever either throws a big shot. Ref letting them work inside and extricate themselves. Nyika begins to move left and pop his jab at mid-range in the final minute. Opetaia darting in with quick hook and uppercut combos, some blocked and some partially circumventing the guard. Right hook on the body consistently scoring for Opetaia.
