He's an above-average fighter in a division of mostly pure crap going up against a horribly overrated fighter who was getting rocked by a past-prime career middleweight, aka the sternest test of his career so far? :nusenuse:

Ryder has lost against every world level fighter he's ever been in the ring with, except Jacobs.. Maybe a few years ago he'd have a better chance, but he's at the tail end of his career. But have hope if you need to.

He's been robbed more than once though. The Smith fight still leaves a bad taste.

It doesn't matter to me, nobody is going to convince me of anything because we'll see who's right and who's wrong tonite. It's really not that big of fight, but the people on here hyping up Ryder and being so confident he beats munguia tonite gives me an extra level of hype.

I just hope we have a good clean thread tonite, and may the best man win. I'll be back later.

To start with, he's bigger. To continue, Derevyanchenko is a better victory than Jacobs imho too (I don't care what records say or if jacobs won a SD vs Derevyanchenko, to me Derevyanchenko is a better fighter). Derevyanchenko hits harder than ryder too, so I don't see how ryder could stop munguía if derevyanchenko didnt. Moreoveer munguía hits harder than ryder too.

Derevyanchenko, imho, is way a better fighter than Ryder as well, btw.

Maybe ryder is more elusive, but he won't win the fight like that. He can run a marathon and survive, as I said, but I dont see him winning this fight.

Oh, probably Ryder is tougher too, but you dont win fights by getting your skull mauled without losing conscience.

Maybe ryder being southpaw could trouble munguía and win because of that, though. Nevertheless I think it's unlikely.

Nah he's too old and shopworn for that, but he still has a few more wins over world level fighters than his record shows.

I know little of munguia. Won't be staying up to 4am to watch it which is a shame, I'm a big fan of Ryder. Will catch it tomorrow.

He beat Jacobs and was robbed against Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding and had a razor-close fight against BJS, so I'm not sure where this "lost against every world-level fighter" is coming from like they were all the Canelo one-way beatings. Could Mungiua win? Sure he hits like a truck, but he has no defense, Ryder does, and got slapped around by smaller fighters.

Who you think won is irrelevant, and what it says in the record book Is all that matters.

Let's not be children about dodgy decisions, please. We've all seen fights where one fighter clearly should have lost and still got his hand raised.

As corrupt as boxing is do you really believe that?
