I think a lot of people are overreacting to this decision

    It was a close fight

You’re not wrong but I’m always disappointed when the judges give it to the other guy, particularly if it’s a UD.

What’s the difference? An L is an L, split decision or not.

Let’s put it this way. If SD won the 12th, he wins the fight. Can’t see the corruption in that.

Scored it 6-6 with a Knockdown, Munguia wins. Just watched the fight in full.

Derv could have had some good wins, just comes up the slightest bit short. Against GGG & Jacobs was the same story

Being disappointed in the cards doesn’t amount to corruption.

It wouldnt have been corruption if Derev won. They can't allow Derev to tip the apple cart.

    Called it 114-113 Munguia.

2, 4, 6, 7, 11, and 12 to Muguia and I didn't really hesitate to award Munguia any of those rounds. Same with the six rounds that I awarded to Derevyanchenko. Pretty easy fight for me to score. I feel bad for Dev, but Muguia did well to grab the momentum back in the final two rounds and score a KD to secure the win in the 12th.

The fight ruled. My current FOTY for sure. Definitely would be down to see them do it again.

One quick note: I think I could listen to a case for round 5 being scored 10-8 without a knockdown, but there's just as strong a case for round 12 being scored 10-7 with only one KD.

And to think Mosley Jr. got a W vs Rosado. A lot of guys did but Mosley Jr. had zero business beating Gabe

Yeah, I wouldn't consider the fifth 10-8, either. Munguia was hurt a couple of times but had done pretty well early in the round and was fighting back throughout the frame. I'm just saying that if you think the fifth should be 10-8, then by the same logic Munguia could be awarded an extra point over and above the KD in the twelth since Dev didn't throw much of anything after rising and was hurt a couple more times.

Or, one could simply score the rounds 10-9 and 10-8 respectively like I did.
