The best argument against that ridiculous 10-8 claim is that nobody did it, not even those saying it. That's not a 10-8 round. Ridiculous.

Why not a 10-7 round? "whatever it fits my agenda, dude".

And to think Mosley Jr. got a W vs Rosado. A lot of guys did but Mosley Jr. had zero business beating Gabe

Yeah, I wouldn't consider the fifth 10-8, either. Munguia was hurt a couple of times but had done pretty well early in the round and was fighting back throughout the frame. I'm just saying that if you think the fifth should be 10-8, then by the same logic Munguia could be awarded an extra point over and above the KD in the twelth since Dev didn't throw much of anything after rising and was hurt a couple more times.

Or, one could simply score the rounds 10-9 and 10-8 respectively like I did.

Had this been a 10-rounder instead of a 12-rounder (which it should have been, neither of these guys had previously fought at 168 I think, so this fight wasn't an eliminator or had any belt at stake) the Ukranian would have won a relatively comfortable decision.

I caught up on the fight today here's how i had it

    1 Derevyanchenko
    2 Muniga
    3 Derevyanchenko
    4 Muniga
    5 Derevyanchenko
    6 Muniga
    7 Derevyanchenko
    8 Derevyanchenko
    9 Derevyanchenko
    10 Derevyanchenko
    11 Muniga
    12 Muniga 10-8 Knockdown

    114-113 Derevyanchenko

Muniga had the strong finish but overall i felt Derevyanchenko had too much of a lead, i much preferred Derevyanchenko's defense, jab, clean punching, and backing up the bigger man.

Yes in the end it became closer but i still think Derevyanchenko was very unlucky not to win this fight.

    114-113 Munguia no robbery here

I actually felt this one was very easy to score as 6 and 7 were the only swing rounds everything else was clear. Had my card identical to Mannix but gave the 6th to Munguia. Swing that round and Sergey wins. Terrific fight I thought Munguia was done after the tenth

This fight was actually fought at 168, which was a big disadvantage for SD. Munguia was probably 10-15 pounds heavier than SD. I consider Munguia to be a weight bully. When he meets a top contender his own size he will be sparked.
