This is even worse than Spike. Spike (who I don't rate) is barely acceptable, this is just a stupid fight for both parties. The only way this is half acceptable is if GGG wants an easy fight to allow him to fight BJS in July.
If this really happens then it's because to have a Mexican opponent on Cinco de Mayo. Which is a lame variation on when Floyd hijacked the date and regularly put one or more Mexicans on the undercard if he didn't fight one himself. Having a Mexican there just for being Mexican, to boost the PPV sales.
Jaime is unproven and his young career will take a huge hit if GGG agreed to fight him. Not to mention HBO promoting it as a PPV fight? It would be a ****ing disaster.
you're correct about Floyd. But Regardless if there is a Mexican on the opposite corner of GGG other than Canelo, it will not boost any PPV sales. If HBO is smart they will not approve Munguia as an opponent, since they want it to be On the PPV format. It has to be somebody with a name, for it to even sale.
