Silva is totally different in the ring. He's had quite the resurgence since stepping away from MMA. He looked impressive against Chavez Jr, and Paul is nowhere near the type of fighter JCCJR was, and is still learning. Its definitely a close fight , and i wouldn't be too shocked if the Spider pulled this off, or managed to eek out a draw. Were going to see tonight how serious Paul really is about the fight game.

The Holyfield vs Belfort comparison is terrible. It's so so far away from that fight

It's not terrible at all but my point is age matters a lot in boxing. And Silva's punch resistance might be totally gone. People were arguing with me about Luis Ortiz chin was not as good because he aged against Ruiz and I said he always had a glass chin. Maybe I'm wrong and it just goes with age. If that is the case here, if Paul lands a right hand Silva might exit stage right. He's nearly 50 years old, I doubt he wants to get permanently hurt.

Maybe JCC Jr from 2010 you can't compare to Paul. Not today, JCC Jr is completely done. It's one thing to lose to contenders or journeymen but to lose to a club fighter you need to hang them up.

Yup I don't bet on boxing often but I had to drop a 20 on Silva.

Good toe 2 toe action in the last minute of round 2. Avila gets the best of the exchanges and closes strong. Dr. Mike looks visibly hurt Walking to his corner.

    2-0 Avila

Considering ones fought in the UFC and one is just a Dr, Dr Mike ain't doing too bad

Avila is having his way in round 3. Dr. Mike is looking tired and Avila keeps pushing the pace landing good hooks upstairs and to the body when in close. Dr. Mike finished stronger but not enough to win the round imo.

    3-0 Avila

Not a bad showing from Dr. Mike but he just couldn't win any rounds on my card. Maybe he should just give up on Boxing, he seems to be doing very well as a Dr. He's definitely going to need a couple of Vico's after taking all those head shots.

    4-0 Avila

I would love to see Jake get smashed. I don't think he loses this one though. He stops Silva in 4-5 rounds.
