so a guy who's style consists of flatfootedness, wide looping punches, and mediocre defense is a master boxer. :!:

You seem to base your opinions off of movies

I hate to be the one to tell you this but rocky balboa was not a real fighter

It might cheer you up to know that Ivan drago didn't kill apollo creed, his real name is actually Carl whethers and his an actor an is alive and well

He was a master at boxing in his style, yes. But that wasnt your original post. You werent asking if he was a master BOXER. You said:

"why do boxing experts speak so highly of jake lamotta? from a technical and stylistic stand point he's a slow, one dimension flatfooted brawler with no boxing skills but a good chin. someone explain"

So... you are the only person who can see that Jake Lamotta is nothing special... You are right and everyone else is wrong... ???

i didn't even know they had a movie about jake lamotta, and my statements come from watching footage and analyzing his technique and his fundamentals(like i do with every past fighter) and there was nothing special about him besides the fact that he can take punishment and dish it back while still taking punishment.

How do you not know there is a movie about LaMotta. Its probably the second most famous boxing movie in history next to Rocky... Wait, you are aware there is a movie about boxing starring Sylvester Stallone in the titular role right?

Robinson-Lamotta 4 doesnt exist on film.

Nardico and Kilgore took place when LaMotta was completely shot. You might as well watch Robinson vs Joey Archer and tell us how you cant understand why people rave about Robinson.

He obviously know his just trolling, his probebly only watched raging bull and came to this conclusion

Iv plenty of friends who know nothing about boxing and have watched raging bull, it's an all time classic, while this guy claims to have studied lamotta yet had no idea there was a movie made about him

Well, La Motta had a fantastic jab.
If you can't see that and deduce he was more than a punch-absorbing plodder your powers of analysis are misplaced in assessing La Motta's style and his standing amongst boxing's knowledgable observers.

How did you get VI and IV mixed up and then post "4" not "IV"?

Either way Jake was weight drained in "VI" and still held Robinson even over the first half of the fight and outjabbed him. Not bad for a guy with no jab...
