i'm half ******ed so... but bottom line is, lamotta was never as good as u elitists make him out to be because of the reasons i stated above. i'm an avid student of boxing and i appreciate the fundamentals but lamotta is NOT and i repeat is NOT that good. he'd lose to any top 20 middleweight

Hank Kaplan claimed that Jake LaMotta had very underrated boxing skills.

Jake is underrated not overrated, A rugged fight for any ATG middleweight and I like him over Hagler, has a good chance to beat Monzon on a given night and does not embarrass himself vs anyone at 160

Spot on mate, although this was probebly the funniest thread Iv seen so far

First he says his never even heard of the movie raging bull dispite seeming have a strong interest in lamotta

He then claims to have watched a fight that there's no video footage of

Then the iceing on the cake was trying to cover up this by saying that it was a mistake and he was actually watching a fight that never even happened

Ah. I see, the old "He'd lose (in my imaginary world) to some people sometimes and therefore can't be very good" argument.

Pretty shallow and baseless tosh there, many people have pointed out to you that:
    a) La Motta was far more multi-facetted and skilled than you give him credit for and
    b) actually beat/ran close the universal ATp4p king in SRR.

His record both in fight results and on film should speak for itself, it does speak of his worthy status in boxing to everyone except you it seems. Perhaps YOU should reconsider and not pipe on at everyone to come round to your views.
