LaMotta would be a big MW weightwise, but with only a 67-inch reach. Southpaw Hagler has a 75-inch reach. Curiously enough I doubt it Duran's speed and head movement made Hagler cautious , Jake did not have that.
Agreed, Hagler couldn't hit Duran solidly, he broke his rhythm and Hagler couldn't get going. Lamotta isn't a slick middleweight and Marvin would start to pump that jab into him like he did Hamsho, Sibson , and Scypion. When Marvin does that your in trouble. Jake would either get TKO'ed in the last two rounds or be a bloody mess to hear the score cards
Would be a Good fight to see .Obviously Hagler a good few steps above Jake in so many Way's ,but LaMotta s taking it to him from the first. Neither man taking a step back and JL giving just as much back.He'd be in it a lot longer than Hearns but he doesn't see the end like Duran .LaMotta rescued by the ref after the 13 th .
Hagler was more skilled but if they fought 5 times lamotta would win at least 2 . he was naturally bigger,physically stronger and his chin was even better, marvin should put himself in boxer mode to win this
