Would Terry Norris be too fast for Lamotta to handle

From what I've seen, this is a safe fight for Terry

The further it goes the more LaMotta takes over.

Norris was a very good Jr. MW.

Lamotta was a big MW who hung in with SRR in their fights.

A 15 rd fight would be won by Lamotta.

    Norris is too small.

He wins rounds early until the effort of dancing and blasting to keep LaMotta off begins to take pep out of his step and sting off his punches.

Then Jake gets close, stays close, and mauls and maul and mauls his way to a wide win or a late stoppage.

Only thing going for Norris in this fight is that Jake wasn't a big puncher, but all that does is really make thing worse for him.

oh dont worry magna, terry is losing this. i think norris had a good inside game but the strength of lamotta almost too much. this was a guy who could bully heavyweight. and actually bully them not just hustle them actually force them roudn the ring. norris can hold his ground but would porberbly just moved physically back into the ropes.

i think terry circles around and jabs and moves maybe throws a few solid shots but slowly gets tagged more and more byt the maruading fight.

basiclly lamotta is WAY too big

Norris is far too slick and modern. He benched over 300 pounds (true, actually). He would make massacre of...

    Oh, I can't do it...

    Lamotta stops him in 11.

no he wasnt. Jake is only about 5-6, 5-7 and lost to lots of quick mobile slicksters he wasnt able to catch up with

Jake cant hurt Terry and once he tries crowding Terry, Terry will just tie him up just like he did with everyone else. Terry batters a plodding Lamotta on the way in and wins lopsided win due to superior ring smarts & speed

    actually your right.

jake was 5'1 and terry was 6'2 1/2

terry is about and inch taller thatn him. and jake is not a slim guy he is massive. had hell of alot of stamina and persitant. norris would of given a good account for himself but middleweight wasnt a good place to be for him and doesnt help your fighting the epitome of the crowding fighter in lamotta

Jake is a small middleweight. Look at the films of him vs Robinson who is 6' and dwarfs him. Jake had short arms & short thick legs, like tree stumps-a plodder not well equipped to deal with sharper faster opponents than himself. Not a big puncher either

Sure he's tough but the record shows two defeats to Jimmy Reeves who just had his number. Can anything less be expected of Norris?

Like Holman Williams, Jake had an early reputation as exactly that -a good puncher. We can't see that by the time he's fighting Irish Bob.

He was a crowding fighter who got in close and capitalized on those short arms. He was not a plodder in his prime -and actually was known to bring hell through hell at a rapid pace. His skills were highly evolved to match his style though they were subtle and tough to see in close. Terry's athleticism isn't going to save him here; and his skillset is more than matched by Jake.

Terry makes it look easy for about 4 rounds, but it's a very good bet that LaMotta takes over after that.
