Prime for prime, it would be a tough close fight. I think it goes the distance.
Hard to pick a winner. LaMotta beat better fighters than Eubank, but lost to lesser fighters too.

^^^ this IS true Unforgiven and the thing about they cross era mythical match ups we have to place the fighters where they would be.

Jake is what he is, a MW, Chris would have been a L-HW cum HW in that better era and would have been mince, so P4P in a mythical match up Jake IS the better fighter, but in reality the two would be at completely different weights in eithers 'own' time frame.

LaMotta. This is not a nice fight for Eubank at all who likes to wait and then out-punch a guy.

    Eubank would HATE this fight!

JL would be on him like flys on sh-t, and the body punches would drain him badly. Possibly JL stops him late, but I'd go for a clear UD for Lamotta.

Think about it, CE is a counter puncher, but that aint gonna help him in this fight, especially after round 6.

Eubank would've slaughtered him - this wasn't 145lb Ray, this was a 182+lb, ripped beast.

Exactly, Eubank liked to pose and take a breather in every round Jake would not allow that , he would be on his chest all night.Lamotta wins a dec.

If Lennox Lewis hit Eubank (easily the best chin ever) with a right hand, what would happen? Chris would be in a wheelchair.

Eubank would be quicker and outbox Lamotta, picking him apart like Marshall did. Eubank would be way way stronger than Lamotta too and actually could be the guy to stop him.

But if that doesn't happen I have to go with the boxer in CE. If you look at Lamotta against top level boxer types he seems to lose far more rounds than he wins. And this is by far the biggest strongest pure boxer he would have faced and 1 of the better ones too.

I agree that Eubank was stronger, and quicker, not sure about him outboxing LaMotta, because I consider LaMotta´s jab pretty good.....but I guess the best version of Eubank could do the job...not sure if he would though. Good fight.

James Toney has a better chin than Eubank for a start.
