Tiger, in a phone booth war. Tiger, physical enough to go at it with Jake, also counter punchers him. I think DT the more intelligent, boxing wise, so he nails himself a hard fought points victory. But a very entertaining match up.
I think I agree with your verdict, but I don't agree with this. Jake was a great left handed technician and had a superb defense.
Jake UD15, the better technician and higher workrate and he has the size to compete with Tiger's strength, though Tiger is stronger.
I like Jake to make Tiger miss more, and win a decision of some sort based on it. Tiger keeps the pressure on hard and wouldn't be pushed back, Jake would have to exchange with him and utilise his left to perfection, or he loses based on Workrate.
If Jaje just goes to war w him he loses because Tiger was the strongest middleweight that ever lived .. however I feel Jake had a lot moe to him and was a more skilled fighter than Tiger an would out punch him with speed and angles ..
Going against the grain and taking Tiger. It's a matter of styles and Jake isnt all of a sudden gonna win this fight with his jab. Tiger isnt Tua who just sits on the end of someone's jab. Tiger will get past it and turn it into an up close and personal fire fight. Tiger clean UD
LaMotta can live in a phonebooth with anyone including Tiger. It would be a rough nite for both. Tiger can't hurt Jake and Vice Versa. It's almost impossible to call it. Draw!
LaMotta is gone take leather getting inside and once he's there he won't like what he finds. Tiger in a bruising decision.
I feel the same. Both guys were tough as nails and this would be a war of attrition. I could see it going either way. I think Tiger is stronger but Lamotta is very underated when it comes to his skill. A true pickem fight.
If the word great was used like it should be, to mean the very few elite, Jake would be in, Tiger, Fuulmer, Basilio would not.
Absolute barn burner. I do tend to favor Tiger though for being a better cerebral fighter though. I wouldn't be surprised if LaMotta pounded out a close decision though.
