    Agreed, but I will add though that if they fought several times Joey would have won a few. Very good boxer was Joey G at his best, and if he fought Jake the way he did Tiger in their 3rd fight when he won the title he stands a very good chance at winning more often than not. Both had iron chins so it would always go the distance, and the Italian rivalry and pride on the line would have made each fight an exciting tussle.

    I'll pick Giardello, not with any real confidence, because this is a close one. If he mixes it up he could get the job done, I think.

    An in shape Giardello wins this imo,he shined against the agressive come forward types,but if he wasn't 100% he gets beat on work rate.IMO.

    Giardello at his best, like in Dec. 1963, decisions LaMotta. If anybody could outbox Jake it would be Giardello.

    Giardello by lopsided decision. LaMotta won't even be in the fight.

    In the third Tiger/Giardello fight, Joey was superb...But the reason, I'll take Jake is his workrate, and his initiates his combinations off a left jab to get to the inside. Something the great Dick Tiger does not do.
