LaMotta on points via workrate and the jab. Before he was broken by Hagler, Mugabi had a solid chin and good stamina with his power, but LaMotta can take what Mugabi can dish out
LaMotta and his iron chin would wear Mugabi down and stop him after the mid rounds i think. Jake would get in close and bully him a bit along the way.
I think the Beast uses Jake’s head as a piñata for 15 rounds and beats out a unanimous decision. Afterward, LaMotta climbs the corner to the top ropes and does a Lt. Dan screaming “Is that all you got!!!???!!!”
John Mugabi before Hagler was a tough S.O.B . Hagler ruined him. Prime Mugabi vs prime Lamotta would've been a helluva fight. A lot like Mugabi vs Green, Green gave Mugabi hell because he was able to smother his power until the end. Lamotta was better, tougher than Green. I'd say Lamotta by split dec, he would smother Mugabi, but wouldn't have the fire power to really hurt him, or stop him. But Lamotta would be a swollen mess by the end of the fight.
