Who was tougher and who do you think wins? Was LaMotta's tough competition in his era the deciding factor here? I have seen almost all of Hagler's fights but only 1 of jake's. Please advice ... thanks

Lamotta did better against Robinson than Hagler would, Robi`s movement didn`t bother Jake the way Leonard`s confused Hagler plus Hagler was more open to right hands, edge goes to Lamotta but I heard something about the middleweight limit being lower back in the 40`s-50`s if that`s the case Hagler could win being the bigger man, hev will land often because of his crazy reach that could mean the smaller Jake gets stopped despite his iron chin.

No way in the world Lamotta beats Hagler, and at middle Hagler would be too strong down the stretch for SRR also imo..All primes i'm talking..Hagler was past prime v Leonard. Lamottas tough and goes the distance, roughs Hagler up at times but that's about it

Whoever wins the battle of the jabs would win the fight and that should be Hagler. LaMotta probably has the most underrated jab there is though.

Hagler was past his prime when he fought Ray but he still could have cut the ring off instead he just followed like Floyd did vs Connor but Mayweather didn`t want McGregor on the ropes he wanted him to burn his energy the way he did against Diaz.

Hagler for me as he was the better boxer, harder puncher and had just as good a chin. But Lamotta gives a good account of himself

I'd be narrowly edging toward Hagler in an extremely close fight. LaMotta is a great fighter.

If you went 15 rounds with LaMotta you knew you were in a fight. JAKE took the will and heart of the best fighters. Hagler-Leonard, while great, did not have an iron will. La Motta puts the hurt on Marvin to the body and head, walks through MMH s punches, crushes his will and wins by a very bloody and savage TKO. La Mitts was truly a great folks. A fight I would love for pure unadulterated action would be La Mitts vs. Walker.

I don't know what boxing world you come from, but LaMotta has ALWAYS been considered a great and back in a 1983 Boxing illustrated when Marvin was at the top of his game, Arcel, Jacobs and others pictures Jake to beat him in a fantasy fight. Learn the history of this beautiful sport before you go mouthing off.

Hagler I think was in his prime around the Sibson fight, he took him apart. I see Hagler stabbing LaMotta with that powerful jab and opening cuts. Jake will probably last the distance if the cuts don't stop it. It would be a war but Jake's not going to seriously wobble Hagler at all
