:I think Prime LaMotta beats them all. A great great middleweight. Hagler would have the best chance. Hearns gets stopped easily before 9. Duran fights a savage fight but is wore out and stopped late. And Leonard is pummeled and beaten badly over 15 by fighting for survival. The Bronx Bull was no joke.

Yeah but Lamotta took Robinson's best shots in the St Valentines Day Massacre for 13 rounds and was still on his feet at the end. I think in the 13th round alone, Lamotta was hit by 54 clean shots from Robinson. How much harder than Robinson do you think Hearns hit??

LaMotta was ranked at MW(champ) and LhtHVY, and fought the heavies as well.. The fab 4 all extremely talented boxers and ATG's.. but 3 outta 4 started way lighter and moved up.. And Duran, Hearns, Leonard just were not as good as boxers moving up in weight as when starting out, which is usually the case. LaMotta is just too tough and strong at 160 for these guys as well as a helluva fighter/body puncher. Duran and Tommy didn't look great moving up, Duran 154 + , and Tommy 160 + , next here is Ray who I give a better chance than Duran/Tommy .. Ray, imo, handled the weight gain better and was the better boxer with the extra weight and his movement confused Hagler at 160.. Now we have Hagler, which I give the best chance here being a natural MW and warrior and can hang with the Bull over distance, coin flip for me

Thing with Leonard is he probably wouldn't agree to fight LaMotta unless he could have the parking at Ceaser`s as his ring.

The thing about Duran in the Hagler fight is that Duran got wore out and Hagler wasnt even fighting very hard. Hagler was criticised for hanging back and giving Duran too much respect which is valid. If Duran was that tired at that weight against a guy who wasnt really going after him then I dont see Duran beating a guy who naturally, in shape, weighed 175 pounds, was insanely tough, and in his prime a very high action fighter and tremendous body puncher. How exactly does Duran, in his style, fighting at 160 or even 147, beat that guy. I dont see it. It takes a lot of imagination to get there. Hes not going to hurt LaMotta and hes not going to outwork him. My only question is whether or not Duran finishes the fight on his feet. Hearns likewise I dont see. He had a weak chin, not great stamina, and didnt deal well with pressure. Id give him an outside chance to outbox a prime LaMotta but thats it and thats only if he fights a perfectly controlled gameplan and doesnt get drawn into shootouts, which it wasnt hard to get him drawn into. Regardless LaMotta is going to be making him use his legs all night long and landing to the head and body with increasing success as Hearns tires. When Hearns panics he goes for the KO and he aint KOing a prime LaMotta so I think when he tries that LaMotta starts hurting. I could even see Hearns clipping LaMotta and Jake suddenly wobbling to the ropes as he often did, playing possum. Ever seen Hearns get a guy on the ropes? He threw everthing. If he did this Jake has him right where he wants him and when Hearns tires Jake pounces and punishes him. Thats the thing. Jake was a lot more defensively savvy than those here saying "he blocked punches with his face." Those guys are selling him short BUT on the occasion that Jake did get hit he absolutely could absorb those bombs. The guy was stopped four times. 3 by light heavyweights (one was a dive) and once by one of the greatest pieces of fighting machinery in history. The only three stoppages that were legit were when he was passed his best and he was only dropped once. Hearns had more than a punch but I think his deficiencies offset his assets in a fight with someone like Lamotta.

Might be a hot take but he has a genuinely good chance of beating them all. Hagler is the big question here but LaMotta's plenty better than Vito and had a crushing workrate.
