i don't consider him to be a very powerful fighter. I think that's how most feel. How clever was he? Those who have seen him close up consistantly lable him clever. John Garfield, front and centre.
To be honest i am not aware of Lamotta being considered a big puncher, so no his power isn't overrated. He's more of a wear em down drag em out type of fighter than a clean hitting knockout puncher. His KO record is quite mild. Decent power but nothing great.
