One time I heard the world stops when a pay per view fight is on.

In this case, it will stop to laugh at the sport of boxing if this takes place.

I bet Jorge Kahwagi will be his next opponent!

I hear that Jake vs Tank is a genuine possibility.

Would be really stupid for Tank imo, and would be a pretty despicable move from Jake, imo.

Is it too much to ask for Jake to fight someone his size and age?

I really believe that the Tyson fight damaged Jake very badly.
It was a truly pathetic Spectacle and it was one of those moments where it kind of exposed Paul pretty bad.

Yep he risked his whole brand but made a lot of money but the jig is up interest in his boxing career will continue to plummet unless he fights someone legitimate but then he will lose badly.

Now cut that out. When are you guys gonna give Jake his due?

I mean this is a guy who has Mike Tyson on his resume. A fifty eight year old Mike Tyson coming off of a blood transfusion but still, Mike Tyson! MIKE TYSON!

And now he's looking to fight Julio Cesar Chavez, a legendary name in the game!
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr who is the son of said legend and has been washed up for a long time, so much so he lost to an old ass MMA fighter in Anderson Silva, someone Jake already beat. But still, a legendary name all the same!

And now you're telling me you're gonna complain about him fighting an ACTIVE champion who he outweighs by like 70 pounds with one of the current best KO ratios?

I swear, there's just no satisfying some people.

...Hey man, somebody is gonna make this argument for real some day. Just figured I'd take a stab at it first

I find it hard to believe Tank wouldn't beat Jake Paul even with the size difference

Checks all the box’s for a Jake Paul opponent LOL now we will have to listen to Jake brag about fighting a former world champion son of a legend and if Paul stops him he will claim he did what Canelo couldn’t haha.

What about the Joshua fight? Joshua probably agreed and Jake Paul didn't hope for that, so he found a way out of the whole situation...

Jake paul is still more an youtuber and social media influencer than a decent boxer , let alone a world class level heavyweight .

So he will fight only opponents where he can compete with ( or agree to an exhibition ) , whenever possible known names but retired and out of shape .

He knows he would get simply destroyed by any current heavyweight - hrgovic , joyce , zhang , wilder , let alone kabayel , parker or usyk .

And if not his influencer money nobody would even have the idea to think about a fight against anybody i mentioned above .

I was actually a defender of Jake for a long time. I think his development up until Tommy was totally fine and was being hated on a bit out of ignorance.

The perry fight was whack but ok, Perry was the hottest thing in BKB... hes an active fighter whose on a winning streak, had a lot of hype at the time. Whack but I could see shreds of why it could be acceptable.

Then he fights Mike Tyson which is beyond a joke. That fight though was so massive, and with netflix doing it was kinda like this weird circus event whose magnitude didnt justify it, but made it a bit obvious why theyd make this circus event. I got the notion this was also in part a favor to mike, whered hed make a huge paycheck without much threat and Jake would take it easy on Mike and that wound up being the case.

Was a shame and a joke but at least there was some undeniable context that almost made it understandable as far as circus events go.

But this... this is actually probably Jakes worst actual opponent since Ben Askren four years ago.

Almost four years ago Chavez lost to Silva, which was the win that 'legitimized' Silva as an opponent for the younger less experienced Jake. Jake then beat Silva.

Now Jakes fighting the guy Silva beat, four years later?

For a fight that has next to no commercial value?

This fight makes no sense on no level other than Jake being able to have a known opponent to beat, regardless of how trash the opponent is. But if thats the case there were still better choices out there than Chavez.

    Embarrassing stuff.
