Fighters test positive for steroids all the time, which is far worse and far more damaging. The idea that fighters long past their prime would refuse a career-high payday for a glorified sparring session is naive, nor is it that much of a stretch. Boxing is a very shady business. No idea why Chavez was paid twice as much as Paul for this fight when Paul is the clear attraction out of the two - it makes zero sense unless there's a pre-determined element to it.

Don’t think Canelo would. He’s a proud guy. Didn’t he just reject a $10m Tesla sponsorship for the Crawford fight because he perceives Musk as a racist against his people?

He’d take great delight in destroying Jake earlier IMO.

I only watched the extended highlights. Chavez is post-rehab, lost to Silva, and was at his peak at middleweight in 2010. If anything, this was a backward step. Paul will lose his audience if he continues on this path, and he's an elite marketer, so it'll be interesting to see how he tries to reframe his next couple of fights to keep people interested. I honestly try to avoid his fights, but I also don't want to comment on them if I don't watch them.

All I know is Holyfield is thanking the gods that Jake Paul wasn't around in 1987 to challenge him. Nightmarefuel for Holyfield

    People who love boxing.

It will be a disgrace if Opetaia is forced to wait around for Jake effing Paul. If Zurdo doesn’t fight Opetaia next then it’s a straight up duck and will prove that Zurdo is a coward.

And it’s not good for boxing.

My guess is that Paul kept the PPV money for himself.

And I think that is why you will never see Jake train at an,actual boxing gym with a bunch of other pros because I can only imagine how a hungry up and coming boxer would do to Jake in a sparring match.

Davis would literally take his head off and seriously hurt him. Tank was known for laying out much bigger PRO BOXERS in the gym.
