If you thought Joshua savagely KOed Ngannou you haven’t seen anything yet if he fights Paul. This is one AJ fight where I will be his biggest fan

They should have Victor Laughlin referee the fight, because at least he would stop the fight 17 seconds into the first round before Paul takes any serious damage. The only thing is ‘a huge amount of people globally’ might miss the fight that they desperately wanted to see.

AJ already defended the honor of boxing in that match against Ngannou. Why not do it again against Jake Paul? The Ngannou fight is a good little asterisk on AJ’s career, this one would be too.

of course, Jake Paul isn’t a stupid guy. He knows if he gets in there with AJ, he’s waking up in the hospital. After the local fire rescue has to use a prybar to remove his face from the canvas.

my hope, if it does happen, is that AJ lands a few power jabs before landing a right and ending it. I’d love to see the “oh, I’ve ****ed up” look on Jake Paul’s face when he realizes what he’s got himself into

If AJ lands a big right flush, the damage is done. A guy used to fighting old men and washed up boxers isn’t remotely ready to be hit by a former unified champ who is 6’6”, 250, a big hitter, and not old. Ngannou had a lifetime of experience in combat sports, was actually the size of AJ, and look at all the good it did him once he got hit flush by a right.

The money generated and what each guys gets paid will probably be one of the biggest we've seen. Obviously, for what it means to boxing historically, it isn't much. It's just a novelty fight.

I fully expect Joshua to knock Paul out, and it will top on odd career. A fighter who has had a decent enough career, but made far more money than his ability and resume would suggest. A fighter who gets a token of abuse from fight fans, but, will get a lot of gratitude for saving boxings reputation against Ngannou after the Fury debacle, and viciously knocking out Jake Paul.

There is zero chance Paul fights Joshua; he is talking about it so he can stay in the spotlight. He's an attention hog and he knows beating up washed up coke heads and MMA fighters is wearing thin so he needs a new shtik. His whole currency is social media attention; if he fights Joshua, it'll be a re-run of the Ngannou fight. I'd actually go one further and say Paul would not only become a meme for the rest of his life, but he runs a serious risk of debilitating brain damage.

A man outboxed by Tommy Fury, a semi-professional English-level club fighter, should not be anywhere near world level. It shouldn't be sanctioned. I don't care how much money it makes.

If he fights Aj what has this sport become. Why is Aj and Eddie even entertaining this, his career isn’t that finished, he’s still in the mix in the HW division.
