You are probably right but Paul was either successful in conning Hearn and Joshua that the fight was a goer, or, as someone alluded to earlier, it was being used as a smoke screen to enable Joshua to sit the year out and look for an opening somewhere next year?

 

Afaik the fight was basicly agreed until eddie hearn made jake paul clear that AJ will enter the ring only for a real fight and will prepare himself like for an title fight . No exhibition , no youtube showfight .

After this statement the fight was cancelled .

 

There are rumors on twitter that the Georgia athletic commission no longer wants to sanction the fight due to the significant weight difference between Davis and Paul.

For me if this turns into an actual fight I see it as 50/50 Jake Paul is so much bigger and the fight is at a catch weight of 195.
If Tank is serious about winning he just needs to concede the weight and come in around 150 or so otherwise he will just be fat and sluggish. Jake is so crap that even giving away 50 pounds a guy of Tank's experience should be able to out box him. Tank has good accuracy and over 10 rounds he could hurt and stop a bum like Jake Paul.

I can also see Jake just walking forward covering up and bullying Tank around with his size. One of Tank's problems here is that he doesn't throw a whole lot of punches which can work against guys his own size because his power is devastating and he has good accuracy but against a bigger guy he will need to throw more. If he doesn't Paul could just win on activity alone. Anyway both guys are total ass clowns and it would be hilarious to see either one get KO'd.

This has that early Japanese MMA vibe to it, and I am kind of digging it. Can a world class lightweight beat a mediocre cruiserweight? I am genuinely curious, and IMO Tank is going to mop the floor with Paul.

The only thing I don't like is that it's an exhibition and it makes me wonder how hard Tank will go at it. Abstractly, yes, a true David vs Goliath fight is always interesting.

 

Yep he is dumb as a box of hammers but it makes me think that a dork like Jake Paul should be careful with some of his trash talk because Tank is so dumb that he will take it personally and being from Baltimore he likely still has street connections and would be dumb enough to use them.
