Joshua just got brutally dispatched and squished like a termite and therefore is likely done as a top heavyweight due to his immense vulnerabilities. so, what do you want him or Hearn to ''care'' about at this point? a gimmick fight does not take away from the fact he had a very solid albeit very flawed run at heavyweight.

The boxing ''purists'' make me giggle Joshua vs Paul would be an entertainment spectacle not a proper sporting event and it does not take away from the fact we have had mega fights like Usyk vs Fury Bivol vs Beterbiev Crawford vs Canelo and multiple solid cards in the past few years.

The sport is in a mostly very good place.

I had a dream once in which I was taking Marilyn Monroe from behind. I woke up needing to take a crap.

    Strange things, dreams are.

Pretty sure AJ's jab breaks Paul's nose, orbital bone and quite possibly shadow realms him simultaneously.

Ive never wished serious harm on somebody before, but sometimes someone needs to be sacrificed to save the many. This sport over the last 5 years has gave off this impression that this sport is easy and anyone can do it. Show the levels, anything other than a coma is a loss for the sport. Sacrifice this man so that in the future, people who try to play this sport like its a game can always look back at the example of Jake Paul & read about his death.

Jake Paul would get splattered. Seriously, this can't go ahead. I wouldn't watch it for fear that Paul gets his head caved in or something. If it goes ahead and AJ comes for a devastating knockout I fear many people will end up being questioned about why it was sanctioned

I'd rather AJ go in there and just fight with his left hand, and only use his right for body shots, almost treating it like an exhibition, for the sake of safety

Anyone familiar with Jack Dempseys exhibition with Cowboy Luttrell? It's going to be like that but more brutal

Paul may have done some good for boxing in regards to what you mention, but he still spouts utter bollocks, as I mentioned.

As for others being ****ed over by the sport, I don't disagree. Many a promoter could probably do with a good slap. Unfortunately, Tyson twatting King and someone having a shot at Bricktop are rare occurrences. Many others within the sport could also do with a good beating. Hopefully, we'll see that again this weekend with Connor Benn.

All of this doesn't change the fact that Paul is still a bit of a dick.

But they could have and it wouldn't have been too bad with the PR team he and Matchroom have
And of course he thought he could win, what successful boxer wouldn't have that mindset?

And to make it clear I'm hardly praising him for the fight, merely stating some of the silly stuff that gets said isn't true

I honestly don't care for AJ what's so ever

Hyperbole aside, Paul is a professional boxer. He might not be a particularly good or inexperienced one, but he knows how to take a punch better than anyone who's never boxed. So it's highly unlikely he's going to suffer any serious injuries as a result of a single punch. Because of the difference in their ability it is likely that the first time Joshua catches him flush, it's goodnight Jake.

It's also a fact that sustained beatings cause the real damage, rather than single blows. I can't think offhand of anyone who was permanently damaged by a knockout in the first couple of rounds, ever. So when Paul does fail to beat the count he might be sore for a few days, he might have facial damage, but it'll not be life-changing.
