The only other fight AJ cared about at this point was Fury. This is hedging his bet, as it’s unlikely that fight ever happens, so with this he still gets one last major payday.

It’s possible the money being offered is big enough that it’s worth it for him to get KO’d on Netflix. Maybe he retires right after and says, “You can’t say I didn’t risk it all!” or something along those lines, and then goes back to streaming after having ransacked boxing for 4 years.

I haven't watched any of Paul's recent fights but will be tuned in to this one. Hope it's a clean KO for Joshua, because I'm sure the referee will be instructed to stop it at the first sign of trouble.

I will believe it when they are both in the ring.
I really hope that Jake Paul gets seriously hurt.

As opposed to other heavyweights who didn't have a billion dollar investment behind them.

Jake Paul is not a real boxer.

I predicted the Joshua and Ngannou fight would be a horrid, sickening, brutal stoppage, but I also said it would spell the end of these ridiculous crossover fights in which athletes from other sports think they can hang with top-level boxers. There are many people to blame here, Floyd Mayweather is a big one, for entertaining the McGregor fight, selling it as a legit contest, and convincing people it wouldn't be a complete breeze. Then there was the Fury farce, where Ngannou actually nearly beat the big useless dosser, which set the sport back years and injected more life into these stupid fights.

We've gone through the looking glass completely now, and while that Joshua and Ngannou fight should have been the warning shot we all needed to show us how dangerous these fights can get, and to call them off, nobody is listening. Nobody will listen until someone ends up with life-changing injuries.

I'm pretty sure this is an exhibition with a script and a glorified spar, regardless of how they sell it, because there's no way in hell Jake Paul would agree to this; he and his team are not stupid. If this is a legit fight, and Joshua goes in there like he did against Ngannou, we are going to see a live execution that will make AJ vs Ngannou look like a walk in the park.

If Paul suffers a serious injury, the person most to blame will be Eddie Hearn. He is meant to be a serious promoter who knows the sport and the risks, and he is so blinded by self-interest and money that he can't see the wood for the trees here. I am no fan of Paul, but I don't want to see any boxer suffer a life-changing injury, and I already have a terrible feeling about this one.

If this is a real fight as advertised then fair play to Jake Paul. He's gone from fighting retired MMA fighters to fighting a legit heavyweight destroyer. Look what he did to Ngannou, I wouldn't want any part of that.
