Jake Paul Phony Fights Discussion

I have zero idea. I have paid no attention to Tommy Fury until this fight was discussed. I believe I saw one of his fights, and he seemed okay.

I don't know how this thing turned into any kind of a big deal at all.

I missed the part where calling out a great fighter's brother (or stepbrother) was a major event.

Is he going to challenge Bernard Holyfield, Evander's brother who is an actor and a dancer, to a fight next? Is that a thing now?

 

I actually hope after the fight someone bumps this post to tell me I was wrong. I want to be wrong about this.

 

Yeah especially the second Woodley fight before the KO it was a very bad fight there were plenty of times where both guys did nothing. I noticed Jake buying time in the Silva fight as well when he was tired it is only because Silva is 47 he couldn't really take advantage. Tommy is by no means a puncher but he will hit harder than any of Paul's previous opponents.

 

Surely Fury Has Got To Beat Him. Paul To Me Ain't a Pushover and Can Fight. I Think It's A Great Fight Either Way And Will Be Close. Probley A Fury Win over 8 rounds.

Set Jake’s annoying persona aside.

He has improved tremendously as a boxer during his short career. Make all the “Anderson Silva was old” comments you’d like, make all the “Chavez Jr. sucks” comments you’d like. Silva decisively beat Chavez who is a pro boxer with 50+ fights, and Jake beat Silva. I have no doubt Silva would beat plenty of professional boxers, same goes for Woodley. These guys have been boxing for a very long time during their MMA training.

Fury is about as much of a boxer as Jake is; they are both famous outside of the ring. I believe Jake is more focused and determined while Tommy is busy trying to crush girls on reality shows. Fury does not impress me at all. He will probably get hit a few times and fight timid, thus causing him to run to save face.

I think Jake Will probably be more prepared for this scrap than any of his previous ones. I think he catches Tommy hard early and gets him tentative and cruises to a UD.

At least that’s what I kind of hope. So then Tub of lard John Fury has a meltdown afterwards. Setting up his inevitable snapping point after Usyk beats Fury and then will get himself into legal trouble shortly after. Probably attacking a heckling Usyk fan.

 

Absolutely disgusting in my opinion. I fully support Jake Paul pursuing a boxing career and I know WBC rankings go to about 50 but you can't tell me there aren't 50 cruiserweight that would beat Paul.

Anyway I genuinely think Tommy Fury will beat Paul, Tommy who's a light heavyweight and as of yet done nothing to warrant being world ranked.

 

He should've been ranked just for taking Floyd's hat #GotchaHat

 

What rank will he be? 14000?

Neither Tommy or Jake should be, but if Tommy is then yeah Jake should be if he wins because why not?

 

If he beats Fury he's top 50

WBC only ranks up to 50 so in the top 50. Why not you ask? Because there's far more than 50 better fighters.

 

Except for a few outliers, cruiserweight has historically been a weak division overall.

But rating Jake Paul? Wow.

That said, it would be funny if Jake Paul bounced David Light out of the top 15. Light is fighting Lawrence Okolie next for the WBO belt. Light fought a guy who was 11-3-1 last October.

It isn't a division that's loaded.

 

If he beats fury he will prove alot of people wrong. I don't care if they rank him or not he will be in what the top 50???
