There is no need for this level of stupidity in sports. "Decapitate"? Seriously? Yeah a real "bad man" that fights retired athletes old enough to be his dad. One thing is does prove is that if boxing actually cared about itself and properly marketed fighters it would still be a huge draw which makes me even sadder.
Head says TNT. I marginally favour his resume and he appears more technical in the ring than Jake (better footwork mainly and throws combinations with more precision). Jake maybe has more power, though it's difficult to say given the circus of it all. BUT Increasingly though my gut says Tommy is under huge pressure and Jake is in a better position to deal (mentally) with the big occasion. Could it just be that doubt hits Tommy all at once if Jake lands something good early on? He might completely fold.
Paul has a larger frame and thicker bones. Thus, he probably generates more power and is more durable than Fury.. Fury, on the other hand, looks tiny. I think Paul will KO Fury.
It will be an interesting event. They did a really good job promoting it. I don't really care one way or another who wins. It will be interesting, though, if Tommy Fury does win, pockets several million dollars and the event is a big PPV seller. If Tommy Fury should become a boxer who actually draws young female fans (like Oscar did) and is a PPV seller ... his half-brother Tyson might have to accept the fact that his younger, less talented family member is a bigger mainstream star. Now THAT would be an interesting development within that crazy clan. If Tommy loses, which I think even his family expects, he's just Rudy Clay. And his career will probably be over. Not too sure how much he likes boxing, anyway. So, either way, could be fun as a spectacle. (Feels like someone just said there was going to be a fight after school today. You're going to go sneak a peek.) I'll find a stream sometime today.
Yes, everyone is just casually risking their reputations, careers, and criminal prosecution walking around with printed papers of a script for a rigged event. That definitely makes logical sense and iis completely believable. This would be too hard to fake and must be legit.
@kirk What career and reputation are you talking about? One of them is a Youtuber, the other is a reality show actor. They are not real fighters. I don't think this fight is real.
Exactly lol, even the mods on here always send Jake Paul thread to the lounge usually or to the jake paul phony fights thread. Tommy was on Love Island just a couple years ago. even if they lose it makes no difference to either one
Picked Jake in the poll cuz they didn't have a draw. But I think it will be a good fight and it will be called a draw. Can't wait.
I have a feeling Tommy will win this fight, either by UD or TKO. Tommy's a better boxer all around and his footwork is much, much better. He's got better stamina and more boxing experience. Paul's got better power, so he has a puncher's chance. His mental state and determination is probably a bit stronger, but I don't it'll matter that much. I think Paul is going to have a hard time landing, while Fury just sticks and moves until he finds an opportunity to land combinations. I hope there is no shady stuff with this fight. There's always a chance with so money involved.
That stuck out to me, too. It will be interesting to see how they fake an eye swelling shut in the fourth round. You know, Sylvester Stallone filmed the first Rocky fight scenes backwards ... beginning with Round 15. They started with full makeup applied (because they only had one day to film the fight scene). There was a lot of people in the audience yelling and cheering. (They gave everyone a free lunch to show up and cheer as extras.) And after each round (or segment), they'd take off more of the makeup. It took all day, so by the time they got to the beginning of the fight (the walkout and Round 1) ... most of the people had gone home. That's why all the lights are turned out at the start and it's mostly dark and the fight angles are shot from the floor looking up. Everyone had eaten their free chicken lunches and had gone home. If Tommy Fury enters the ring with his eye swollen shut ... and they start the fight holding up a ringcard saying "Round 8" ... I think we may be on to something.
