    What?

I have never heard a single person discredit boxing due to Jake Paul. These kind of circus act type events have been around for a long time, the popularity of them due to social media and its own nature, and “influencers” being kind of a laughable thing in the first place just makes this seem worse I think… and Jake Paul claiming “I’m the king of this ****.”

I really hope one day when he says something like that, an interviewer asks him to define what it is he’s the king of…. Beating up YouTubers and washed up MMA fighters in a different sport?

No one judges boxing based on Jake Paul fights….

Agreed. The guy is a total clown who doesn't even believe his own BS that is why he continues to fight non boxers. He is obviously on steroids I can't believe that he actually has fans he is a POS.
It's one thing to be arrogant when you are actually a good fighter but Jake sucks and still talks more smack than anyone.

I have a bad feeling that the Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight is going to go horribly wrong.
Mike is too old to be fighting a guy as young as Jake Paul no matter how good he looks on the mitts his punch resistance won't be there.
After recently seeing Barry Hall who is 47 and was a good amatuer boxer as a kid and a elite professional AFL player get destroyed in one round by a young strong former NRL player Curtis Scott who is a novice in boxing I worry even more for Mike. Barry Hall was in phenomenal shape for this fight and was looking really sharp on the mitts but it didn't help against the younger stronger man. See the full fight here Scott hurts him with the first punch he lands and finish's him in the first round.

That...and due to champions in boxing now maybe fight once a year and the big match-ups people want to see never happen or happen when both fighters are past their prime. In the past it wasn't noticed as much as the stars would fight 3 times a year.

Granted the Saudis are changing that, but Jake Paul is one of the biggest names in boxing because he's actually fighting quite a bit and the stars don't.

Jake's situation is pretty simple. He take's boxing seriously, He trains a lot and you can see considerable improvement since his first fight.

What he doesn't take seriously is his career. He fought one real boxer, albeit, not a particularly good one, and Jake was exposed as one dimensional. That being said, he has done a fantastic job of making money. There is nothing wrong with that but I blame everyone who has ever paid for any of his PPVs. Other than Paul's first career fight where he was a curiosity and when he fought Fury where we got a chance to compare him to another boxer, I can't imagine a reason to even think about wanting to pay for one of his fights.

Paul is a smart guy, he can boast all he wants but he knows his skill level and limitations. Unless people stop paying for his fights it may be quite a while until we see him fight another man who is making boxing his career.

    I've given this some thought.

Jake Paul fights in an alternate division from normal boxing created almost entirely by him.

    The Jake Paul Division.

This division contains ex mma fights nearing or well over 40 years old, inactive and at times older unoroven journeymen boxers. The weight division he competes in has a requirement that you must have competed at lower weight classes for most of your career and will be the smaller man come fight night vs Jake Paul unless Paul himself makes an exception.

Was it Breidis that was chasing a fight with him at one point? That would of ended poorly for Jake.

I would like someone to ask him when he's going to be ready to take on Opetaia.

Judge him after he fights someone of note, people often forget most fighters fight bums initially to build a record.

    Mayweathers 11th fight was 14-19-1
    Canelos 11th fight was 2-6

    Really?

The amount of people ive heard who dont watch the sport and say **** like "Jake Paul is the only one keeping that sport alive" "Jake Paul is the biggest star in boxing" "Jake Paul runs boxing" "nobody knows anyone in the sport other than Jake Paul" "people only care about Jake Paul and MMA fighters" etc etc.

Several of the most high profile boxing matches of the year every year of the last like 4 involve Jake Paul, MMA fighters, retired boxers etc. That absolutely changes the mainstream perception of the sport.

They hate Jake because they can't be Jake :deal:

Jake is the only man in the history of boxing who can get hated on for fighting Mike Tyson in his 12th pro fight, 13th fight ever

They crucify Jake for fighting ''MMA fighters'' but they conveniently forget to tell you that MMA fighters keep repeatedly beating boxers and embarrassing the sport of boxing when they cross over into it

And even on the rare occasions when they lose they invariably still manage to score huge event wins by doing way better than they should on paper and boxers would do if they could inflate their little squirrel balls and summon the courage to cross over into MMA which only a handful ever have because boxers are too female dog made

These MMA fighters Jake is beating aren't just regular journeymen MMA fighters they're GOATs, ATGs, legends of the sport, multiple time world champions

They say Jake can't beat boxers but when he violently KOs 10-1-1 2 x Golden Gloves champs and 17-2 pros in a round a piece in back to back fights they act like it never happened and like he didn't prove them all wrong

But when Jake 'loses' a highly controversial decision to the brother of the HW champion of the world and one of the GOAT HWs when Jake was battling illness and injury they these selective memory broke ass haters won't let us forget about it

Jake has one of the best sub 12 fight resumes in boxing history and when you compare who he fought in his first 10-11 fights to the fighters all their favourites fought, including the so called ''GOATs'' and ''legends of the sport'' his resume is light years better

Jake is the saviour of boxing and has been the only one holding it down for the sport against MMA. He's single-handedly salvaged the reputation of the sport but ya'll be hating on him because he's a good looking white boy from the suburbs who's cashing cheques and livin' lifestyle flashy

How many slick boxers can you think of who can crack like Jake does?

He can box like Floyd and bang like Mike Tyson.

He's dropped everyman he's ever faced, name one of your precious boxers in the entire history of the sport who has done the same? I'll wait

Not saying he should...not saying I want to see it...just do you think he will?

Holyfield III? Something along those lines.

Maybe a Shannon Briggs type? Hasim Rahmen? Oleg Maskaev?
