Yes but Jake Paul was already rich and famous before he started boxing. Floyd made his fortune through boxing JP is just adding to his at the expense of boxing.

Jake Paul doesn't need boxing to put food on the table and you can't ingrain that killer mentality in him.

I view him as faking it to make it in the tough guy department. If he fought an actual cruiserweight he'd get taken out.

Kudos to him he's brought more eyes onto the sport and more youngsters are taking interest and getting off their games consoles to go to the boxing gym.

Didn't Jake Paul piggy back on his brothers name and Disney? Also Floyd would've KO'd a Tyrone Woodley type opponent in the first round in his 4th pro fight. Remember Woodley is also naturally a couple divisions lighter than Paul and 40 years old. I don't think Floyd fought any 40 year olds that were several weight classes beneath him early in his career. Good on anybody who makes good money for themselves but lets not pretend we have to have respect for an ass clown like Jake Paul just because he chooses to step into the ring.

 

I caught this bout out of boredom and felt the same way. You could have reasonably scored this 7-1 for Paul, with him only losing the round he was rocked in. I don't know much about either of these guys, but Woodley was terribly inactive and rarely effective. At least Paul had a semi-active jab. This was almost opening card level stuff and Paul will never get anywhere near world class, though, so I don't feel strongly about the final scorecards.
