With wrestling and BJJ like shields, you don't need much stand up.

 

hahaaha I know who cares if he isn't a world class boxer? Hes on a 10 fight win streak or something, holds a belt, who cares how he would fair in a boxing match?

 

He's one of the most boring fighters in the world. He punches with less power than an eight year old.

 

I remember thinking the same thing when I started watching the sport, damn i was stupid back then.

 

IMO he's not quite as good as Fitch overall, but is still probably one of the top 5 WW's in the world at this point, at least on the basis of recent work and achievements.

 

I didn't get a chance to see his fight with Paul last night. But Jake is one of my favorite fighters. I've been watching him since his ROTR days. Amazing grappler.

His striking is poor but I think its good enough to keep him beating anyone in Elite XC. Now if he did go up in weight like he said to fight Lawler he might be in trouble.

 

Any of the following are in contention: GSP, Alves, Fitch, Shields, Koscheck, Sanchez.

 

Put Penn in that mix and i'm okay
Since he is gonna fight for the belt, we can rate him there
