Lies, Mitch. You ranked Martin over Takam in 2021, well after Martin had lost to Kownacki. Takam is 1-3 since, losing to hype job Makhmudov. Yoka also lost to unknown cruiser Merhy after being smashed up by Bakole, he's a nobody. 42 year old Thompson gave prime Takam a better fight and would have beat Yoka, just as he exposed Price and Solis. According to you, Ortiz KO'd a higher ranked fighter than prime Takam in Martin. And a better fighter than post-Takam Chisora in Jennings. Ironically, Takam and Chisora both avoided Ortiz, Chisora by his own admission.
Christ i'm only seeing that Ortiz actually fought last week. Ok it was some bum ranked outside the top 500 with a glass jaw that got KO'd in one but even so.
Dychko is probably the worst promoted fighter of all time. He was pretty much at the same level as Joshua in the AM game. Yet as a pro he's not even close to a World title fight. He's had 13 fight ffs. Against bums too. Christ i'd imagine if we got a few lads here to do a whip round and buy out his contract we could make moeny on him in no time. How fooking hard is it to promote a 6'9 techincally skilled olympic medalist?
Or he never had much to begin with. His best win was Jennings or an ancient Tony Thompson, neither was a ko machine. In fact looking at his resume, he mostly faced feather dusters like Cojanu, Hammer, and Scott. then a bunch of can crushers.
I doubt they want another soviet block guy dominating for years. boxings already dead in most of America, that'd kill it back off in the UK too.
Yeah but even at that angle that's something to sell and boost a card. You've got the villian on the card, the big 6'9 commie nazi to see stopped in his tracks. Someone to boo and hiss at. Like I say. He's not hard to sell.
It's amazing how long it's taken for most people to realize this... His resume was always paper thin.
So a win over Curtis Harper and 55yr old Ortiz gets you a shot at someone near the top of the tree? What about all all the guys who put in actual work in getting a shot first.
