Lets not stretch reality to claim Ortiz has beaten a top ten welterweight, because Crawford's leftovers weren't that.

I don't disagree regarding the match making for Ennis. Showtime has stated on the record though, that they are paying three, and four times the normal amount to fight a guy like Ennis, and they still can't get anyone to step in the ring with him. He'll have to go the mandatory route seemingly.

He can only fight who will agree to fight him though. Showtime has stated they are offering three and four times the normal amount and can't get guys to fight him.

As far as overhyping, that's a fair point in that he doesn't yet have the scalps to match the hype. He is clearly talented. He'd beat the **** out of a guy like Thurman, or Garcia right now. I think he'd whoop Crawford's arse right now too, but that's all speculation until they fight the fights, and with PBCs merry band of I'm a star, I don't fight up and coming youngsters, Ennis may likely get frozen out.

Give me a explosive puncher against a accumulation puncher any day. Ortiz is not beating ennis who's a stylistic nightmare for him. Ortiz got hurt bad by ek had he been in with someone who can hit him with punches he can't see like Ennis he will be in a world of trouble. I like Ortiz jr but Ennis is all wrong for him. He also be hooker who came up in weight to fight him. Hooker isn't a good win he's done nothing at 147 and I mean nothing.

They have both fought around the same level of comp. Hooker had never fought at 147 until he fought Ortiz and people want to act like it was a great win.

Ennis is legit. He beat two very decent guys in Dulorme and Lipinets in IMPRESSIVE fashion. Dulorme was in a very close and competitive fight with Stanionis and arguably beat James. I know Dulorme is a bit chinny and can be rocked easily but it was still impressive as no one did anything comparable to him. He's beating legit guys. He also has a W over Abreu who recently beat a Kazakh prospect and also made some other guys work hard for a W.

Ortiz best W is Kava. Behind that he has no comparable Ws to Lipinets and Dulorme.

    Right now:

    Ennis > Ortiz.

Stop hating on certain fighters for no reason.

Ortiz is legit as well and i have no idea how a potential clash between him and Ennis would end but if you compare both guys at this point Ennis HAS to be in front because he fought and beat the better guys (Hooker ain't a legit 147er).

Great performance by Ennis. Both him and Ortiz are blue chip. While they haven’t done enough to be compared to ATGs, they’ve done enough and looked good enough to be hyped as the “next big thing”. I’m very intrigued to witness the welterweight division unfold with those two along with Butaev, Kudratillo, Stanionis and Besputin.
