And McCllelan is a terrible comparison also! G-man, like Tyson, had devestating one punch fight ending ability.

    Kirkland doesnt have that.

You need Tyson's handspeed to be Mike Tyson. Way too different, if your comparing there body type than yeah but thats it. I would say at this point that James Kirkland is harder worker than Mike Tyson ever will be.

The Tyson and Lacy comparison's are getting pretty ridiculous here... OK, yes he has muscles. The similarities END right there. Kirkland is already better in technique then Lacy has ever showed.

Not really. No jab, no head movement, wins on sheer relentlessness and intimidation and hasn't beaten anyone yet, and wins mainly on overwhelming someone with sheer physicality

His jab is already 100 times better then Lacy non-existent jab. And that isn't really saying much because Lacy seems to not even been taught how to jab (and what a shame for someone with a good left hook... :patsch).

The similarities between the two are wafer thin.

    wtf?

i'm sorry, but theres nothing special about james. he's a straight up and down fighter with horrible movement and technique. his seek and destroy style is a KTFO waiting to happen.

He is a watered down Aaron Pryor. He can be hit and knocked down. But you have to put him to sleep to keep him off of you. As we all know most fighters cannot handle that kind of pressure. A slick counter puncher with some good power could of course beat him. 154 is not that tough of a division and no huge punchers. He would beat the brakes off of Angulo the fake Margarito look alike.

I didn't bother to read the other posts, so my unbiased opinion after watching him beat up on Joel Julio last weekend is, no he is not the new Tyson. He showed tremendous pressure and heart, but the right fighter can expose this guy and make him look bad. Don't get me wrong though, Kirkland is still badass!!!:good

 as much as i like your comment, i gotta disagree.

james is a robot with no defense or headmovement.

a scrap with angulo would be great but theres no ****ing way kirkland just walks through him without going life & death.

Don't insult Tyson like that, Kirkland is a strong kid with C+ level technique, no where close to Tyson.
