Idk if this has been posted, but it seems to have been overlooked with the other big fights that happened the same weekend. Anyway, here is the vid of the fight, enjoy: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9H2lqNkVd8[/ame]
Thanks for posting Charles. Didn't even know he was fighting and it looks like he has a way to go yet.
Looks alot better than when Arreola pummeled him. He had a big ol beer gut then. But as I understand it, he came out of being idle and not doing ANYthing, and took that fight on a few weeks notice just for the money...........and it showed.......LOL He never was really that impressive of a boxer, and never seemed to have the ability to put his size into his punches and produce the power you'd think a guy his size would be capable of. Not to mention that he's getting a bit long in the tooth, ...............but ...................................if he were to get his skills back as good as he can get em, and get himself in the best shape he can, who knows......? Maybe he can work himself up to another decent money fight or two.
Started his career off at 165, but has worked his way up to 223 for this fight compared to McCline's 283 for this fight. Here is his record: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=15684&cat=boxer
Always liked McCline. Him and ole Two Gun were always my favorite underachievers. Except maybe Mercer:huh
Jameel is very fat (283, his fattest ever) and he looks gassed by 4 rounds. He moves like Fred Sanford, just a shame to see this.
I always wondered about a 2-Gunz vs. Big Time match-up. Even now it would be fun, and who wouldn't be for the winner getting a sympathy title shot? (I mean, if the likes of Mormeck can secure one)
I'm assuming that the idea was just to get a feel for being back in the ring after a long layoff. That and the fact that the guy seems to have a decent chin (been ko'd only 19 times in like 54 losses or something).
He looks fat, but good luck to him. I doubt he'll accomplish much in his comeback though, he's way past his best.
