I doubt that farmboxer, the roided up Mccline got lucky, a fully prepared Peter knocks out Mccline if they fight again.
He took the fight on 9 days notice, leaving almost no time to for a proper sparring training partner that mirrors Mcclines style and size.
But McCline checking his chin has nothing to do with preperation. In shape not in shape Peter's chin is officially "iffy".
Thats fine, I wont disagree with that. Though he didnt have a chance to work with a bigger sparring partner, he probably worked with a guy around 6'2, 6'3, not someone around 6'6, which could effect how he fights.
Ruiz fights tough. I'm afraid he may be past prime though. He was a damn tough fighter in his day, though. Particularly during the Holyfield fight time period.
McCline is gonna be the next guy to deck Ruiz. You watch. Ruiz is a bit older now and a bit more ballsy and McCline is well capable of landing short powershots inside. He's gonna catch Ruiz trying to do the louize squeeze.
It's certainly possible. I think McCline's power is a bit under-rated. His lack of stamina and aggression have held his KO% back, but he can crack for sure. He knocked down Briggs (like it or not, he took a huge amount of bombs from Lewis without staying down and hadn't been down between that fight or after the McCline fight), he knocked down Brock and now Peter three times. He's a big guy who can hit if he chooses to.
Anyone can be hurt, but McCline is extremely durable. It took Wlad 10 rounds to beat him down and that was the only time he was ever stopped. Peter couldn't knock him down despite being much younger, Briggs couldn't hurt him, etc.
True. McCline seems to do just enough to lose. If he really wants it, I think he can defeat Ruiz. The formula is simple. McCline needs to be in shape and throw more punches. The more McCline throws, the less Ruiz can clinch....
