I just happened to check out the myspace page of Mike Mollo, it says he will face Jameel McCline in China on Nov 7th. If this match-up actually occurs, what will happen? Will Mollo finally get a big win over someone better than names like Kevin McBride and Art Binkowski? Does it matter? ..maybe this thread was a waste of space? :think
Is this on the same don king card with Golota/Briggs & Barrera/Kobori if it is, thats one helluva a card
Yeah ...although it doesn't appear that Golota-Briggs is happening anymore (check out the Golota express thread for updates on that).
I feel that McCline is a bit of an under achiever and often had bad luck in the ring too. That's why I think he should have enough left to beat Mike Mollo, but it will be a quite meaningless win...
Well, hmm...interesting fight. I have serious questions over Mollo's mentality given the Golota fight, because he was absorbing an exhausting beating come the end of it. As a come-forward puncher that can mess your head up bad, so he'll have to show real strength to put that aside and learn from it.
I am sick of Don King and his shitty Heavyweights. Golota is the only one that I am half way interested in watching. This card is a joke.
I understand the matchup , and i like the fight, Mollo impressed me a whole lot against Golota and only lost really because a lack of championship conditioning.. He has all the heart and determination in the world. I think a win or at least a solid showing against the always tricky McCline will allow him once again the shop window to display his ability to the masses who have not yet seen what he is all about. Mollo is one of those rarest creatures that is great to watch because he is not your usual quitter.. I just wonder sometimes why these fights are over in China... mmm
I wouldn't be surprised if Golota was eliminated from this card. Maybe they'll stick him in with Valuev on December 13th.
Mollo lost because Golota is too strong and better skilled. Basically Mollo took a beating. I heard he went to the hospital after that fight with a concusion and was puking all night.
At least he's staking the cards up and not spreading all these fights out over a year long period of time. Give Don King some credit, his undercards are usually pretty good.
Ole Don does put on some good undercards. But this card just looks tiresome. But maybe the Chineese won't know these guys are years removed from being relevant and come out in droves.
