Yeah, because me being aware of a fighter you've never heard of, and said fighter that you've never heard of, coming out of obscurity and defeating a name fighter would neeeevvvvveeeeeer happen right? ;)

Great win for Shakur, beating a 36 yo average boxer who won the title off a guy half his size who was past it... Totally not cherrypicking and full blown opportunism...

Explain to me how someone after a long layoff, in a division he hadn't fought in yet, losing what should have been a draw to Maxi Hughes, who's been on the rededicated run of his life since, proving that performance was not a fluke, has dominated everyone since. A layoff in which Jono was coming off of dominating and stopping a shot Scott Quigg. A sign that a fighter is crap? I mean, what are we saying here? That Jamel Herring who was about 2 divisions too big for Carl Frampton, who let's be honest, has looked like absolute hell for years, any better a win than the man he barely beat in Scott Quigg? Not to mention Jamel's loss to Ladarius Miller, while I thought Jamel nicked it, it was still too close for comfort. What about his stoppage loss to Shafikov? Or worst of all, his atrocious performance where he took the first out offered to him, because he was starting to get beaten down by the shell of Oquendo?

Shakur just beat a guy, who as likable as he is, is very much Jono Carroll level... maybe even a step or two below.

Even if the WBO isn't the most prestigious of the four major belts, being a 2 weight champion at just 24 is still impressive.

Just pure class here....what you'd expect from a Marine.

He went out on his shield to a faster, better, younger man.

Very good performance but as classy a guy a Herring is, lets not kid ourselves in regards to his true level

Let's just hope Shakur continues to fight live bodies unlike Bud the avoider.

SS did what he had to do and exactly he was expected to do.

He won well but let's not go over the top here, far more tougher tests out there for SS and then we will see just how good he is.
