At Herrings age, he'll only want big money fights with some prestige.

Fighting someone like Colbert does nothing for him.

So am I a homosexual or a cuck? I have never heard of someone being both lol. It seems you like to try and sexually degrade anyone who doesn’t agree with you which lead me to believe that you are constantly degraded in your personal life which doesn’t surprise me as since my interactions with you on here I have received several PM’s from different posters advising me that you are a morbidly obese freak.

On my ass if you agree? What the F does that mean freak? So you do not genuinely follow boxing? You take what you read on forums personally enough to control what you post? LOL I have never read anything so pathetic it’s like you think this is a school yard. This is too funny I have dealt with some trolls on here over the years but nothing like you. You seem to have the mentality of a teenage girl LOL no wonder I am receiving so many PM’s about you

Went out on his shield after giving it his all against a naturally bigger opponent and the emotion he showed post fight interview was palpably real unlike a certain other British fighter with the initials TB showed in his last bout post fight.

    Thanks for the memories Carl.

Loved seeing him get knocked about last night , he was finished after McGuigan.

Seemed to struggle with the southpaw stance a tad too. Can't remember the last time Carl fought a southpaw, obviously he will have sparred southpaws in preparation but it showed for me last night. He was leaving himself open for that mid range left uppercut when he was attacking and retreating. A standard southpaw tactic.

Always sad to see a great fighter reach the end of the road, huge respect to Carl for taking on a challenge this big and putting himself in harms way when he could have had an easy 'farewell' fight 6-9 months down the line in Belfast and retired on a win.

I think many of his performances post Mcguigan gym have been far from convincing but he was a great champion and someone it was hard not to like and support.

He could never get to grips with Herring's height and reach last night, never closed the gap effectively, and 3rd rounds onwards when he knew he was down on the cards he got a bit desperate, lost his shape and started taking too many risks, so only a matter of time until the big shots started to land clean. Herring seemed to be a lot better on the inside then he is given credit for, certainty considering how tall he is. I'm not sure if Carl could have done anything differently last tonight, the jab he was up against was too good, and the size difference too big.

That uppercut he got up from was a brutal and horrible KO to watch. The way his body dropped to the floor, incredible he decided to get up after that!

Not even sure a prime frampton would have had much luck against herring tbh. Guy was just too big and strong. Knew his way about a ring...was very good on the inside and mixed it up well.

Always would have been giving away too much against him imo. Cant do right for doing wrong. Stay on the outside and he beats you to the punch. Try get on the inside and he beats you up on the way in.

Any good operator shouldnt lose when you,ve got the advantages herring had. Even a fast frampton would have struggled to get in and out without getting tagged a lot going in.

Kind of glad he went out on his shield knowing it was his last fight. Better than staying down for the count anyway. Think he,ll stay happily retired.
