Oddly enough, I rewatched Usyk vs. Briedis a few hours before you made this post. My 3th time watching it, in no way, shape or form did Briedis win that match, and I say that as a massive Briedis fanboy that's been hyping him almost as long as I've been hyping Usyk. Briedis did magnificently, kept every round quite close. But he simply did not win more than 4 or 5 rounds.

Yes but i don't think Holyfield losing to Southpaws over the age of 40s is fair to bring up, because i don't think it was necessarily the Southpaw stance why Holyfield lost. He also lost to Donald, Toney, who wern't Southpaws either.

I just think Holyfield had alot of wear and tear and all the tough fights caught up to him, during period between 2000-2010 he went 7-6 and one of them was a technical decision after a headbutt incident in the Rahman fight so obviously that shows his form was poor.

The loss to Moorer was as i said Holyfield having health issues with his heart which is widely known, again i don't think it was necessarily the Southpaw stance to why he lost. And he certainly didn't have any problems dispatching Moorer easily in the rematch when fit and healthy.

A prime Holyfield in early 90s would be a very close match up for Usyk in my view.

Fair enough, Holyfield would definitely be the stiffest test of Usyk's career. While I think Usyk beats him, it would most likely be a 116-112 or 115-113 type decision.

@CST80 Again nothing against Usyk BTW who's my favourite Heavyweight currently, because he fights more like a past Heavyweight smaller and skillful which i appreciate it.

I've heard that story aswell and yeah i love Marvin Johnson one of my favourite Light Heavyweights of all time, a total warrior who never stopped coming forward. Atleast 4 of his fights vs Muhammad 1 and 2, Stewart 1, Emebe, are my top 10 favourite Light Heavyweight fights of all time.

Why not just like get a life instead? You're not doing *anything* but derailing the point of the thread. Reading you frame it as some sort of crusade for justice and truth is sad.

This board could be a fun place to discuss our favorite fights and fighters. But every thread without fail has to have some crotchety arbiter of boxing morality (a laughable concept) bringing up that (shocker) successful boxers are often not perfect beacons of morality.

It was 30 years ago. Everyone knows. You can chalk up the guys entire amazing career to being "the poster child for peds" but that's not really how peds work esp not hgh.

Every single holyfield thread has some ped comment. Yet those same poster complain about him getting a "pass."

Very rare for people to bring up tysons **** conviction, and if it does come up, posters will simply out of hand claim the woman lied without any evidence. But sure, holyfield gets a pass.
