Take the best ever version of Buster Douglas and have him challenge Joe Louis of the First Conn fight. And what have we got? 15 rounds.
Louis would not have done Douglas the favor of taking him lightly. That would have made the difference!
I believe that Pre draft Joe Louis would stop James Buster Douglas, in the 9th round. Louis very determined, having won the belt from James J Braddock, and in better shape, would cut off the ring on Buster. Joe would fire out the jab, set up his very lethal right hand, and force Douglas to fight backing up the whole time. James would take the full 10 count after walking into Joe's right hand.
Im with you on this Richard. Buster wins a few rounds, his jab would Trouble him but Joe eventually nail him.
