Which one of these guys who defied large odds as huge underdogs would come out on top if they fought each other on the night they pulled off their big upsets wins?
Well between the two Douglas looked in far superior shape, not to mention he was landing clean hard punches on Tyson all night whereas Ruiz just seemed to overwhelm AJ more than anything , although Ruiz did land some hard overhand rights. Douglas also had the higher mountain to climb, Tyson was coming forward all night looking to end matters where as AJ seemed defeated after the 3rd round. The combo Douglas KOd tyson with is one of the most brutal I've ever seen. AJ quit in that fight for all intents and purposes. Tyson on the other hand had to be brutally slain
Ruiz has very slow feet and the only reason he beat Joshua was because he caught him with a big punch while he was coming in. Douglas likely schools him but could always be ko’d because of his chin issues
Ruiz ko. Bigger, faster hands, more power, more heart, more chin. Douglas beat a totally unprepared Tyson and was almost knocked out in the process. Ruiz destroyed a normal Joshua and made him quit. If Joshua's power couldn't stop Ruiz from coming, I don't see Douglas doing it.
Douglas lays a one sided beating on him. Douglas was firing on all cylinders that night and took some great shots from Tyson like they were nothing. Fluid combos with a great in and out rhythm Douglas would most likely win late as Ruiz Jr eyes would have swollen close to shut. Douglas by a painful hate crime of a beating Round 10.
